Members of 19 Wing Comox, British Columbia, and representatives from Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North gathered on October 30, 2018, to mark the start of the construction of a duplex that will be built by the military, and a significant contribution from Boomer’s Legacy.

“As members of the Canadian Armed Forces, we are fully integrated into the community in which we live,” explained project champion Lieutenant-Colonel Paula Fraser. “One of the first characteristics of the beautiful Comox Valley that strikes our members upon arrival is the lack of affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity has offered the members of 19 Wing a wonderful opportunity to assist in the housing situation within the Comox Valley. Through hard labour, team work, and a desire to make a difference, members of 19 Wing have been honoured to work with such a great organization.”
