National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program: Share your story!

Tags: | |

Every year, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members are given the opportunity to pay tribute to the veterans who served our country at various speaking engagements across the country as part of the National Veterans’ Week Speakers Program.

As a speaker, you will share your own story of service with Canadians of all ages. Last year, CAF members gave more than 2100 presentations, reaching more than 530 000 Canadians during Veterans’ Week, November 5 to 11, 2018.

If you would like to take part in the program, please register on the Veterans’ Week Intranet page (internal link).

The site will also give you useful information on preparing your own presentation for various age groups.

The theme of this year’s program is “Road to Peace” and will commemorate the Battle of the Atlantic, the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, the 65th Anniversary of Korea, and the 10th Anniversary of National Peacekeeping Day.

The key to the program’s success is the enthusiastic participation of Regular and Reserve Force members, so let’s make this year another success story!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mélodie Gratton, coordinator of the program, at 613-943-6145 or by e-mail.
