Flight Safety final report on the aborted takeoff of CP-140 Aurora

When the takeoff of a CP-140 Aurora was aborted at 14 Wing Greenwood, Nova Scotia, the crew was not successful at keeping the aircraft on the runway and it departed off the left side of the runway approximately 1,000 feet (304 metres) before the end. PHOTO: DND

The Department of National Defence’s Airworthiness Investigative Authority has issued the final report in relation to the aborted takeoff and runway excursion of a CP-140 Aurora that occurred at 14 Wing Greenwood, Nova Scotia, on August 27, 2015.

This document presents the findings pertaining to the cause of the incident, as well as recommendations and measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
